Palmers Cross opened its doors to our dads, grandads, uncles, and brothers to celebrate Father's Day 2017. The children had bacon baps with their male relatives, followed by outdoor sporting activities and board games.
This year Palmers Cross hosted a fitness day to encourage pupils at Palmers Cross to make healthy choices. Children participated in several forms of exercise from dance to obstacle courses, and also attended healthy living workshops throughout the day.
Reception and Year 1 hosted a lovely Mother's Day assembly for Palmers Cross Mums. The assembly was followed by tea and cake, and some art and crafts back in the classrooms. We had a fantastic time!
Children wore their spotty, red or stripy clothes to school and took part in a danceathon to raise money for Comic Relief.
Palmers Cross was transformed into story land for a fantastic week of celebrating books. We even had a visit from the story teller!
We had a great time at Palmers Cross celebrating the year of the Rooster for Chinese New Year.
Year 3 had a fantastic time at the Stone Age workshop. They enjoyed gathering, washing and trying foods that they would have eaten in the Stone Age. They also recreated Stone Henge, Stone Age shelters and tools and enjoyed the theatrical visit from a Stone age man 'Ugg' and his Archaeologist friend, where we were able to become Stone Age people ourselves and explore the life of an archaeologist.
Across the school, children at Palmers Cross Primary have been celebrating Diwali. They have had Indian cuisine for their lunch, made Diva lamps, and Rangoli patterns, enjoyed some Indian dancing and learnt about the history of Diwali.
Palmers Cross have been celebrating Black History Month.
Various learning activities have been taking place across the school.
