As the end celebration for our topic 'All About Me' Reception have really enjoyed sharing their art and topic work with their families. They were proud of their achievements and have all worked very hard.
The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They listened to an education talk about The Aztecs and chocolate, experienced the 4D cinema, saw first hand how chocolate is made, wrote their names in chocolate and much more.
Thank you for all your Harvest donations this year, they were very much appreciated. We hope you enjoyed Year 2's Harvest Assembly. The children were joined by a representative from the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd who then took all your donations away for the homeless people in our City. They do some extremely valuable work and we are always happy to be able to support them so thank you!

Class 5 have started their journey into space travel by researching existing rockets and the Apollo Program, generating ideas, planning and making their own paper rocket. What a space-tastic start!
In Maths we have started off the year by looking at place value.
Class 5 have started their new Science topic of forces. They have started the year off looking at measuring forces in newtons.
Class 5 had a space-tastic time using virtual reality to look at the different planets, the moon landing and the Milky Way Galaxy.
We hope you have had a wonderful summer break and we look forward to seeing the children safely back in school on Wednesday 4th September.
The Way Youth Zone will be hosting a “Meet your future classmates” event at The Way Youth Zone during the summer holidays and we would love for your year 6’s to be part of it. The aim of the event will be to address any concerns or worries that your current year 6 pupils may have during this big but exciting transition from Primary school to Secondary school. They will get the chance to make new friends, engage in team building activities, be competitive with our fun and messy challenge as well as create an interactive art piece which will help them to settle into their new school.
The event will take place throughout the six weeks holiday and will cost 50p for your students to attend. Upon completing the activities your students will then be able to engage in the other activities that The Way has to offer until 8.30pm - this includes; rock climbing, boxing, dance, sport and many more. All they need to do is check the timetable to see when their new school will be meeting up at The Way.
Class 2 have been sewing some fantastic sunflowers as part of their DT learning. Well done, they are beautiful!
Class 3 enjoyed their visit to Wroxeter. They learned about the baths and Elsa was in charge of the Roman coins that we could spend while we were there.
